Commemorated at Primrose Park mosque, the mawlud saw over 1,000 women dressed in white attending the function. Every year the Salihiyyah Dhikr Circle puts on the special event, after which each attendee is given a parcel of food and other gifts. Led by Hajjah Naema Manie, the women gather together on a weekly basis during the year.
Shaikh Seraj Hendricks of the Azzawia was the guest speaker.
